Truck in sig- bone stock. Yesterday I was at a light that was on an incline, when I left off the brake it rolled back a bit then I heard a thud. It was a little slow taking off but she went. I pulled in to the parking lot to pick up my kids from the sitters apartment when I noticed tranny fluid just coming out and it goes all the way back to the light. So I get the kids and rush home, (15 miles, she made it). The only thing I noticed was that when it shifts from first to second it takes foooorrrrreeeevvvveeeerrrr (2800-3200 rpms) then jerks. Then 2 and 3 gears are about 200-300 rpms past normal and 4 is good. I get home and she pours out a little bit more. I let her sit for a minute so I don't put a hole in her. Come back out and rock her back and forward but she isn't leaking any more. I took off inspection plate and the tc is dry and there is only a little bit of fluid in there. I checked the fluid and the tranny is full. Now the question. Is there a seal in the TC that could be bad and the fluid is coming from that or could it be something else? Before anyone says BTS, give me $5k and I will do it. Other than that I need shade tree mechanic ideas before I take it to a shop and let them rape and pillage me.
