You can just unthread the fittings out of the radiator as long as they arent rusted to the lines.

Don't do that. I found out the hard way that it will leak coolant. There is a gasket supposedly(never found it) between the cooler and inside of the radiator. I just used blue silicone and its working for right now.

I don't know the actual size that you need but I know autozone sells a kit with a few different sizes.

If its the newer push connect style, you will need a Ford 1/2 trans line disconnect tool.

I did it on my truck and no issues for 15,000 miles so far. You just need to make sure the o-ring is still seated on the cooler when you tighten it back up.

Does it work like the fuel disconnect?

If it does, I got mine off with a couple small flat tip screwdrivers.

ive always been able to use a regular fuel line quick disconnect on them with a little elbow grease. never messed one up. idk why some people say they wont work.
