trans issue

hey guys ii have a late 99 250 7.3 the trans OD light started flashing the other day and then it started holding the 1-2 shift till almost 3000 rpm i scamned it with a snap on scanner an it it had codes po781 and po732 something about 1-2incorect ratio any advise would help no idea how many miles on the trans truck has 238,000 on it i put a new solenoid pack in about 10,000 miles ago not sure if its just shot or what it seems to do it more when you dont give t much throttle.

P0781 means the 1-2 shift isn't working right. P0732 means the gear ratio is wrong when the PCM asks for second gear. Both of these point to a problem in either the 1-2 shift valve or the intermediate clutch.

You can remove the valve body and see if the 1-2 shift valve is sticky. If the fluid is black you most likely have a burnt up intermediate clutch.

If the problem was in the shift solenoids you would have different codes.
