get it directly from Suncoast, and all the converters they offer stall at the same rpm so it makes no difference from what I hear, Just go with the stock stall.

Im having Maryland Performance Diesel rebuild mine in the next week or two, they can get you prices as well.

I got the iron pac 3 from suncoast and a billet input. If you rebuild your trans yourself, be damn careful, ask Power Stroke Magic what happened to mine LOL (I can laugh now because I paid it off)

Yes there are, PM me if you need them for cheap. I spent about $400 for special tools. you don't need a slide hammer for the pump, just one of the bell housing bolts threaded into the pump, and pry against the case with a wrench, it should pop right out with some wiggling. but you do need a clutch spring compressor and the output shaft socket.

Suncoast rebuild kits have no machining. Elite's machines the case for the competition upgrade, not sure about there basic kits though

its a special output socket used just for the 5R110 trans, got mine on handsontools.com. and a clutch spring compressor can be universal...but this one I used worked extremely well for the 5r110

http://www.transmissioncenter.net/Tools.htm (second one down the page 'Drum Buddy')

Also, I recommend getting the ATSG manual, a lot more informative than the service manual...but, beware...if you tear into the pump make SURE you get all of the retaining clips in, as well as all the springs and check valves, they fly out! (caused me to burn up my TC and ruin the pump) The pump wear plate needs to be aligned perfectly or else it won't fit into the case, so make sure you align the two halves correctly

well see, i'll keep u in mind. but i think as i venture in to rebuilding these transmissions i will proubable end up takeing them apart and putting them back together more than once and prouble make a few mistakes along the way, so i'll prouble just end up buying it from the tool guys (snap-on, matco). and just make payments. thanks for the offer.
