Trans temp sensor install

Ok, I know this has been asked more times than anyone cares to count, but for the life of me I can't find an answer by searching. Just got a set of Autometer gauges. Is there a test port on the trans that I can install the sensor, or do I have to tap into a line or the pan? Its dark, and raining here or else I'd crawl under the truck and look. I found an image showing a port on the drivers side just up from the pan, but I think it was related to a 4R.

The port is in the same place on the TorqShift. It's on the driver's side, towards the front of the trans, just above the pan. Use that for the sender.

Actually crawled under and found it this morning. Have all the gauges in, and sensors drilled, installed and wiring ran to them. Just have to hook up my grounds and power leads. Had to stop to come inside and watch the local boys play Michigan State!
