so after a few weeks of my trans at BTS its ready to come back, 3rd gear clutches were trashed so its rebuilt and ready to go.

heres my question.

truck had Erics tuning in it and was running fine, shifts were smooth.
truck had a no start issue was throwing codes, so it got a new stock flash, and was running fine and starting right up.

new problem starts right after the flash is done, and started not holding gears and transmission was erratic (this is on the new stock tuning)

could the flash have gone wrong to the tcm causing it to trash the trans?

any ideas?

From what I'm being told, the clutches were probably already trashed while tuned and it just learned and was relieving line pressure so I didn't feel the slip. With the factory file it had lost the "Trans learn" and I felt the bad clutch pack.

So this was a built tranny, shifts were good when your first put it in, then over time it trashed the trans. How much power are you making and how long was it in the truck. I only ask cause my dually has had 650 honest rwhp since last january, towed with it all the time and beat on that truck and just trashed the stock trans a few weeks ago, apparently 21 000lbs of a trailer and a lil hp was to much for the stocker LOL

the trans has been in the truck for a while, through the twins with trusted etc.

truck honestly probably ran a solid 600 with the vgt i had on it before, on 37's. so id say about 10k miles.

im wondering if the trans was trashed but the shifts were smooth and soft with the the trans learn and the tuning so hats why i felt it so much when it went back to stock?
