I've heard that there's no need to use a billet flex plate in a trans build. The cost of the part doesn't justify the likelihood that it will fail. It seems that the 5R110 flex plate is rather stout and can hold pretty high HP. Agree?

I have a billet flex plate in mine. Imagine what could be damaged if that flexplate came apart.
