Been trying to chase down a transmission leak for the last couple of weeks. Every few days or so I will notice a small puddle under the trans when I go out to start it in the morning and it is dripping off the back of the pan on the passengers side. So I wrapped paper towel around the fitting for the cooler line and where the dipstick goes in to try and see where the leak is coming from and got nothing. Today when I went out there was a puddle but it was dripping more from the drivers side but still off the back of the pan. When feeling around with my hand I noticed a good bit of fluid on top of the trans towards the back and have no idea where it could be coming from. The fluid is pink so I am sure it is trans fluid.

Was hoping someone on here has had a leak in this area before and could help out, or maybe give some advice on how to find out where it is coming from?

The fluid level is high, above the H part and it has been sitting all night, it is an elite stage 4 with an extra deep pan, and they installed it so I don't know if it is over filled? Sounds like it...

Found it and there is a lot of fluid around it, so it looks like it is the source, gonna drive it a bit today and check again just to be sure. Thanks for the help!

I pulled my vent out of my elite trans and extended it to prevent this sort of leak.

Is this a common thing on elite trans?

Mine stock does it. It seems to do it more in the summer time when the temps are higher and I am pushing the truck harder. I dont worry about though, not much comes out. just enough to get on the pan and couple of drips. Same when my car had an auto, road race or auto x and get the temps up it would burp some.

Good to hear, sounds like something I don't need to worry about.
