Truck Died

Ok, a little history. I travel to several different states so I have been experimenting with DPF ON tuning. I have been several tunes and finally got one I like. Drivability is good and runs great and been on this tune for a while. Problem is yesterday I was cruising in a 75 mph zone and as usual there was a slow ass in front of me so I went to pass. The truck ran great until around 90 or so and then it died. I pulled off the side and came to a stop and it started right up again with no issues and no codes were set. Anybody have an idea of what may have happened?

Ok now it died again. Went into regen then died and said stop safely now. Now it won't start. Tried to check codes and all it says is establishing communication with vehicle

The only advice i could give is to return to the stock program and drive it and see if it happens with no tuner. If not then it's the tune and contact whoever sold you the tune.

I built the tune. I let it cool down and it started. XRT finally was able to communicate so I put it back to stock. Had code. P200c twice

Do you think it was too hot or just a bad sensor? That code says bank 1

Ok these damn ford dealerships are a joke. They either don't know what the hell is going on or can't get it looked at for at least 2 weeks. Can somebody confirm there is a flash to address this issue. Suppose to flash so the computer syncs all 4 EGT sensors together so this won't happen

yes there is

return the truck to stock tho. and your tuner may not work after the flash depending which platform you are using. it wont fix your issue it will just let the truck run in reduced power mode

Ok I ran it and it shows 14e03 for my truck but you bring up a good point. I am running a H&S XRT PRO so I don't want to get screwed where I can't use it

No I drive in too many different states to delete but may have to or go back to gas after 25 years of running diesels

Ok I bought a sensor and the p200c code says 1st bank so I assume that is the one bad. My truck does need the recall done BUT if I do this will my XRT still work?

If I recall right. Only the rear sensor will prevent the truck from running if it goes bad.

Well an update. Dealership was worthless so not able to get flashed for at least 2 weeks and don't want to do it if my XRT won't work afterwards so I still need to get clarification on that. I put truck back to stock and did not change the sensor and have been driving without any issues ever since so it may have been my tune.

I have it with me just in case. Am I right saying it is the first sensor since it was a p200c code?
