Well, I've been rolling around with the Truck Source Diesel "Bus Stop" tune that Chris sent me for about a month and a half now so figured I'd do a little review on it.

Lots of powah! :D Comes on nice and smooth and the shifts are spot on for me. There are no gaps or spots with a lot of turbo lag either. Daily driving characteristics are excellent. The trans shifts are firm, but not neck jerking. No hard tq lock-up while driving normal. And the power is good at both high and low rpm's. There's even good power down low from a dead stop as opposed to lag I've found in some tunes there. With a 2wd you have to worry a lot more about traction than power when pulling out into traffic. LOL This is also sort of how the "Bus Stop" tune got its name, but I'll let Chris tell that story if he wants to. :D

Another thing that I REALLY love about this tune is that the truck has not puked a single drop of coolant. LOL I beat on it fairly regularly and it hasn't missed a beat. Really happy with the tune in all aspects. I haven't towed with it yet but I don't foresee any issues there either.

So if anyone is wanting to try out a different tune or looking for their first tune I'd highly recommend TSD's Bus Stop tune. It's a strong, well balanced tune that works great even as a daily tune.

I haven't been able to go to the track or anything, but here's a little jaunt from 50mph to a little over 100mph I did at my local closed course facility. I like how it shifts at 100mph. LOL Bust Stop tune from TSD, 4" straight pipe from Performance Truck Products, and AFE Intake with dry filter also from Performance Truck Products. Stock everything else.

Whats the cost of his tunes? I am looking to try something new. Had Eric's Xrace for a long time now...time for a change.

I have a couple versions of the Bus stop tune and need to give the another chance when I get the trans fixed again. I have been rolling in the Super Panty Dropper for a while again. There was nothing wrong with the bus stop tune but The SPD seems to go with my driving style a bit better.

I have not found a tune that Chris writes that isn't smooth and has good power.

So is the "Bus Stop" tune more or less powerful than the Super Panty Dropper?? I also really like the SPD. Very smooth but I am always curious about something new that I hear about from Chris.

That's just what it does when it goes a little over 100mph.

Not sure. Their contact info is here though: http://www.trucksourcediesel.com/contact.html Pretty sure everyone's tunes cost about the same though.

Danny, stock charger and sticks too right? Looks like it moves purdy darn well.

Yup. Just tuner/intake/exhaust.

I THINK Chris said people were putting down in the 440-450 range but don't quote me on that.

Chris's tunes make awesome power and are the most well mannered DD tunes I've ever run. Since those numbers, 8-10 GPDA members have gone with Chris's tuning on my referral and not one has had any complaints related to Chris's tuning. They've all loved it. All kinds of trucks and all kinds of drivers, all completely satisfied with the tunes. That my friends says something about Chris and his tunes.
