Here we go. I'm going to make a move on tuning and now just need to make a decision on what unit I want to use. Going with SCT tuning, I'm given the options of an X4, LiveWire TS+, and a Bully Dig GT. I like all options and really liked my old MiniMaxx which leads me to the GT. I know that there will not be shift on the fly, but like the monitoring options. I just wonder if the larger TS is worth it?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I have the X4 and it works for me. Can mount it and has plenty of gauge faces if wanting to monitor. Otherwise you tune it and hide it. Can't really go wrong with any of them

the edge cts is purely for monitoring correct? so it would be ok to use with a sct sf3?

the firmware works up to 14 for custom tunes, but the way it loads is scary , and has a history of freezing pcm's on 6.4's . if a customer HAS one and needs tunes, i'll sell them but would never recommend one, and thank god they aren't for sale anymore. the edge will work on anything that has an obd2 from 96+ .

no its when doing the initial load or return to stock.

great, did that a couple times already since i first deleted it the beginning of January. i didn't have a tow tune like it was supposed to have so i had the tunes emailed to me and when i went to load the tunes it said update required and said to return the truck to stock so i did that... loaded the tunes on the tuner and then did the must load first deal then started messing with the tunes to see how they ran.... something changed or i didn't leave it in the tune and drive it long enough to let the computer learn what its supposed to be doing if that is what it does anyway.... but now, i believe my performance tune and extreme tunes are identical and smokier.... ill just put it in the street tune cuz i like how well it drives in that tune.....

Thanks for all the information guys. I'm Sure I'll make a decision by tomorrow! I'm leaning towards an X4, but still am thinking a lot the TS and GT so I can monitor as well. Does the X4 power on/off automatically with the truck when set as a gauge set?

You cannot leave the x4 plunged in when you shut the truck off, it will stay on until you unplug it. That's why the CTS goes good with the x4.
