Yesterday when i was picking up my girl my truck fell in its face for a second. ( i guess thats what its called ). I was in my 80hp tune and went to take off from a stop sign when the motor like cut out or skiped hard for a second then went back to normal. This is the 4th time this has happened but this one way by far the worst. If i run it in stock tune it never does it. Whats causing this? I made sure the chip had good contact when i put it in and secured it tight. Its a used chip if that makes a difference.

Im not sure, but my truck with Beans tunes does something like this every now and then, but its only on one of my tunes as well. Its like you can push the pedal to the floor and it just won't do anything, then all of a sudden it goes back to normal. Let us know if you get it figured out.

Will do. Its just weird. Ive also noticed that in stock tune when I come to a stop my rpms dip to 500 then come back to normal. It never did that before the chip went it.

Is that the one on the oil rail or the back of the hpop? What would be wrong with it? Just plane old not working correctly.

The one on the HPOP. I am wondering if that is what is causing your RPM dip is the ICP not being properly controlled.

For starters check to see if the plug is securely connected to the IPR solenoid, then check the sheet metal IPR nut for tightness. If its loose then you can have a lot of lost motion when the solenoid is trying to operate.

So the ipr controls the icp? I have a spare icp laying around. Should I throw it on to see what happens.

Could this be caused by the trans? If I rev the truck in park or neutral the rpms wont do wheel I let of the throttle. Right when I put it in drive the rpms di.

Me too. I just don't want to spend all that money on a new sensor though. Hopefully just cleaning it will do the trick.
