Turbo Dilemma !!!

Can't decide between fabricating my own mounts and running a holset charger in my 7.3 or just running a 38r. I want to do something different thats why i said holset was thinking of a HX50. Have found a few that have the same exhaust size housings as the 38r so I'm thinking it won't be to laggy. What's everyone think about non wastegated chargers. Truck has stock Injectors at the moment but will be getting 250/100's in the future also full fuel system with RR, 6637, 5" exhaust, Hydra, T500 HPOP. Other little stuff. Has to pull a 10k camper

If you are going 250/100's than you will want something more than a 38R anyway, so going T4 or T4i is a good move.

250/100's may not be the best injector for towing 10K. How often are you planning on towing?

Not everyday camper on the weekends dont usually go farther than a 100 miles away

As stated 38r isn't enough for 250/100's even though I know several running that combo. Iirc a hx50 is similar to and h2e and would run great with 250/100's and would be a great tow setup...with good tuning.

Yes, I'm not familiar with the HX50 but if it is similar too and can be modded like the H2E, then it is a good choice for 250/100's.

I am just not a fan of hybrids for towing.

What do you think I should go with ? I plan or racing it and pulling on occasion maybe once or twice a year. But I still want good power for the street

I'd look at a T4 set up. Many more turbo options with that mount. FWIW, I had the 250/100's and a 38r for about 100k and other than turbo whistle, I thought it was a pretty decent combo up to the mid-500's.
