I have 190/100's and a 64/68 non vgt. Im looking to upgrade here shortly ( after I buy my house) im not sold on these big vgts, I dont know what would be better running a box s366 or fmw 64.5 with 190's . I know the fmw flows as much as a 66 may-b a pound or 2 less. but you cant beat the price of a 66

( I already know who im buying the turbo from. so please no suggestions) :eek:fftopic

The box 66 is pretty solid. I run one with my 190/75s and am prettyh appy with it. That being said I have been considering the 64.5 you mentioned to spool more quickly and give me the ability to tow some. But I plan to use the 64.5 as a hp for compounds.

67FMW with 70mm Turbine and .91 housing. Will seen substantial gains and spool just as fast.

Who's up-pipes are you running? I think that 67FMW would be a sweet turbo. Guess it depends on your power goals and what you do with the truck too though.

C.E.D t-4 How much more does the fmw 67 flow over the 66? I know the 64.5 flows almost the same as a 66 give or take a pound or too.

quite a bit more actually comparing 82lbs per minute to 95lbs per minute. the 67fmw flows considerably more than the cast 66 does.

I wonder what a 6 blade billet 366 flows? Can do a billet 366 with 360 thrust balanced and proven setup to be reliable. The whole fmw hype just hasn't impressed me yet. Been a few wheel explosions that have me wondering. But hopefully those were just flukes.

Well that's a good question and there is probably zero data on that being the majority of any 6 blade billet wheel comes from china, and who knows what kind of design and testing they have went through, my guess it wasn't extensive. I know the 11 blade wheels are at least on the top end. What kind of failures are you heard of wheels exploding as in shafts exploding Morgan? I have not heard of such failures, but that means nothing LOL

In my opinion it really depends on the setup.I do know some people have had good results from a 6 blade upgrade but some see a drop on torque.

Oh I agree, just throwing out options here. I know mike blew his 64.5 and had to go back to the cast 363.

Correct, Mikes had a bearing failure for some reason within like 200 miles. It was rebuilt, warrantied and returned and he's got it back on the truck now. Failure had nothing to do with the FMW wheel.
