Since you guys seems to be the most knowledgable I'll ask here.
I have a 2012 superduty deleted with h&s
My understanding is that h&s dialled back there tuned to be more turbo friendly. I assume this means less power aswell.
My question is if upgrading to a 2015 turbo and getting custom tunes what is the new max safe boost level?
Next question same subject. What kind of preformance gains will be had by retro fitting a '15 turbo on a 12 without upgrading the fuel system but getting custom tunes? By preformance I don't just mean max power output but over all driveailty as well?

Thanks all!

Safe boost level I was told is up to 39psi I guess because the turbo can handle 40s.

You will gain the mid to high MPH if that makes sents. Also you will loose smoke at WOT.

And maybe MPG.

Once you do the conversion get a tune from someone who is well versed at the retrofit tunes and there is nothing to worry about.

Pros of the swap, more power, better towing, more reliable, sounds cool, and lower egt's without losing really any driving manners.

Cons, cost of parts and actually doing the labor to swap it.

So is upgrading to the 15th the easiest swap or is there an easier "drop in" turbo option. Something essentially OEM but more reliable and capable of higher boost?
How much more extensive is the labour to install a '15 vs just replacing with a 11-14 charger?
And sorry to push this again but is there any data showing power capabilities of a '15 retrofit vs a 11-14 turbo? Or is the dual system already pretty much maxed out with the 11-14 turbo anyways?

Again thank you so much for your help. Glad that you replied to this!

The tunes I got from Morgan for my truck are the best the truck has ever ran. After my stock turbo $hit the bed, I did the retro swap. I ran it with my SPE Hot X tuning but it was kinda smokey around town and a little laggy. After Morgan sent me tunes optimized for the turbo swap there is little to no smoke, a good bump in power, a lot less lag, and the transmission shifts are perfect. He has a ton of experience with these turbos be it swap or otherwise.
