Well guys I'm going to have to replace my up pipes and rebuild the stock turbo. I wanted to go with a t4 setup but with other issues can't afford right now. There's some rebuild kits on eBay with 360 ball bearing 66/88mm .94 ar ported housing for @250-450$. I'm sure I'll have to at least get either ts 6 chip or php hydra just do it won't be laggy. Is this as good as a drop in turbo?

Drop in is tried and true, already balanced, and if it blows on the first start, someone will likely stand behind there product.
Can't get that with a diy kit.
It's not that hard to do the diy kit though.

66/88 with .91 housing & 36 degree ball bearing. I think one of the edits on here has that kit for 450$. They also have stainless bellowed up pipes for 225$. I don't like to mention someone's company name if they're not a vendor here. But that's a pretty good deal. With that upgrade in turbo I'd probably go ahead with a php hydra chip or ts 6. I think they're both pretty good. Prices on ts chips has came down quiet a bit.

I ordered new bellowed upipes yesterday from full force and leaning towards there KC upgrade rebuild kit and adding 88mm exducer ported shroud 1.0. When I upgrade injectors to 1 or 2 stage and adrenaline hpop I should be set. I'll probably lose a lil low end power so hopefully a hydra chip with some custom tunes can help me out there. This truck the way it is now up in the rpms is pretty bada** imo. Some low end torque would be nice

A good spooling turbo and right injectors will have great low end power, my 160/100s and BASB had way more low end then stock, and that was with a zf5, also had way more midrange and top end power as well. But if I had to do it again, I'd at least use a small hybrid injector, maybe a 200/30 or 200/80, just so it's not so taxing on the hpo side of things

What hpop are you using? And I wonder if the 100% nozzles are why it's a problem? My plan is 160/30's. if 100% was my plan I'd go hybrid.

If you were referring to me, it was a T500, and I personally had no issues, mine would hold 31-3200 icp with high 30s and low 40s duty cycle on a hard pull. But a lot of others have had issues maintaining icp with the medium oil pumps

Ok gotcha! The shop that's installing my upipes recommended the honey badger. Just from what I've read and I have no experience on the subject that adrenaline,t500 & srp1? I think are the best out there. Good to hear about your t500.
