GTP38R VS. GTX4088R

I have been reading up on specs trim and tech aspects still confused. The GTX has a larger exhaust turbine but similar trim size it seems similar but I have no clue. I think my incompetence is just making it harder to understand it all.

Fuel wise how much will it take to supply the GTX 238s or 250s/nozzle size with twin HPOPS

I'm guessing either or can provide more than enough but more of that will be determined by nozzle size.

I too have looked at the GTX4088R, and from what I can see comparing maps the 4088r moves a little more air but still seems to come on at the same time.

If you find anymore info share it. I did see some Dmax guys are interested in and even some 6.7 cummins' guys have discussed using it. Whether or not anyone has one installed I've found none.

Charles, if he ever comes around could probably explain it enough to make your head spin but there seem to be a few other turbo wizards who might be able to chime in.

I agree fully it gets to the nitty gritty the GTX4088R is superior to the GT4094R(treat that with a grain of salt) from my research.

The 38r compressor wheel exducer is 88mm and the inducer is 65.86mm (56 trim).

The turbine wheel on both turbos has a 76.20mm inducer and a 67.73mm exducer (79 trim).

What the hell is wrong with garretts site?

You do understand that none of the turbos other then the 38R will fit without a mount kit...

Just want to be clear here... Your talking about a $1300 38R, vs a $3500 GTX... Not including a $1500+ mount kit...

Yes I do fully understand that if it means more gain for amount invested I am for it but if it is not worth the cost I will scrap the thought.
I also have a $5000 black brick if anyone is interested in sitting in my driveway it has a big block :naughty:great first vehicle great fuel economy just requires a ass in the drivers seat. LOLLOL

The better investment would be to go with a T4 mount and an S366.

An S366 needs to be gated for anything larger then a 230cc injector... IMHO. Which drives the cost up a lot.

better investment would be the modded h2e setup I got for sale

I love the H2e... If I had the money right now I would buy your turbo and install it on my wifes Excursion.

I am scrapping the idea not worth the total cost the h2e seems like a better option for my end goal.
