Ugh, just bricked my truck. '12 w/ minimax and latest files

So to send gearhead the engine and trans files I figured I'd better update my truck.
I've never put the mcc unlock in it even though I've had it for ages.

Downloaded the latest updater.
The SD card that was in it was reported as corrupt. When I look at it in explorer there are all kinds of funky characters and folder names.
Grabbed another SD card. Formated it.
Downloaded fresh, selected the first minimax in the list (it goes minimax, minimax (street), minimax
Copied and pasted the mmc files per instructions. It did overwrite.
Updated firmware
Updated tunes (normal H&S)
Tried to start the truck, it cranks and cranks, then starts and shortly shuts off.
?????
Tried updating tunes with mmc files.
Same results

H&S doesn't answer their phone. Says it's not business hours, those are 8:30-5pm Mountain Time (which it is.)

Updated the firmware and the tunes.

firstly-the updates dont apply when running custom tunes so really wasnt needed (i know that doesnt help)


what did you format your card to-fat 16 or fat 32

Everything 'seemed' to go normally until I tried to start the truck.

I've had this thing for a long time and done this many times before, just never with the mcc. Other than when using KEM tunes (that's another story) I've never had any problems.

Trying it again with the 'other' minimax on the list and won't overwrite with mcc files

fat 16 is correct. are you sure the card is 2gb?

Call Mike at NoLimits he was very helpfull when I had issues with mine.

Got it running again.

This time I used the 3rd minimax on the list and did NOT overwrite with the mcc files.

Fired up like it normally does.

Wrote out the mcc engine & trans files just fine.
Was going to send them out for gearhead tunes, but ran into paypal problems (surprise surprise.) Tomorrow...

If you have any more problems, Drunk on Diesel is real knowledgeable on mini max also. Might just PM him............
