updating stc fitting

Hey guys. Updating a buddies stc fitting and was wondering if you prime the hpop through the plug on top? Its the same hpop so its got oil in it but wanted your guyses opinion. Thanks

just turn on it it will crank there is still oil in the rails shouldnt take long

When the pump is removed it drains most of the oil from the reservoir under the oil cooler. If your changing the oil the same time as the repair than you can add about a quart and a half thru the oil filter housing before you install the filter to fill the reservoir back up and shorten the cranking time needed to build up 500psi to start the engine.
