I hear a few names these days for an upgraded trans.
On my hottest files, I get a little slip.
I dump my fluid every year, and it always looks good.
But I am at 130k miles, I know its going to happen soon.
Rather replace it before it grenades, leaves me stranded, and has me trying to flush everything completely.

I dont need a full comp build, my truck is mostly a DD, and I tow quite often with it at the marina.
Lots of long hauls on the highway over the summer too.

I just need something stout, and reliable for the power levels I am at.
I dont expect to ever go bigger with injectors or the turbo setup.
It tows way too good now to mess with it.

What trans/TC setup do you have?

I havent done it yet, but this year ill be huying a twisted stage 3. Swinky has put his through a hell of a lot of abuse, and it has held up. I got a decent sized trailer, and will be bumping stall to around 2k for the stage 3 turbo. Everyone ive talked to has said t should do great. Price seems reasonable with a warranty as well.

Talk to David Ferguson at Red Diamond Diesel. Hands down one of the best transmission for these trucks!

I hear good things about those guys- Red Diamond and Twisted, and also Warren.
Looks the RD S2 is the same as Warrens S3, but more cash for the Warren.
Twisted doesnt have all their specs, but sounds like their S3 is the same as the other two.

Diamond includes 2 way shipping costs already, which can easily be $500+ round trip.
