Upper injector O ring clocking issue

I cant for the life of me find the thread other topic. I know it was pretty recent.

Anyway, here pictured are factory Injectors that have been in use for 197k. No high pressure issues, just worn out. I noticed the position of metal O ring and figured I'd post it up as a wear item.

So what's your point? And the thread you're talking about, was it the one a week or so ago about the split ring?

yup-- its typical. Good news is that the square ring does not seal and is more of a cushion/support ring. It often gets torn up in the gap. When it gets real damaged or shrinks it can affect seal.

Well iirc there was some confusion on whether or not it was normal, a oil flaw, or improper install. I was just saying these are factory

It seems to me its wherever the split rings gap ends up under the o ring is where it fails. It makes sense really

So for future reference just double up on metals
