Uppipe install question.

Guys with aftermarket up pipes or anyone that can awnser this.

When installing after market up pipes are you removing the heat shield from the back of the motor? Or does it need to stay in tact. Thanks

I have one it a few times with it in but if I were you, I'd just rip it out and not worry about it. it would make it much easier to get em in and out.

Mine's long gone on my truck, if you worry worried about not having one you could always wrap your uppipes.

:whs: I dont have any heat shields on my truck. Just the insulation on the firewall.

Pull it and forget it.
