Can a longer bolt be used to start the damper onto the crank until the original bolt can reach the treads? Also is there silicone that needs to be used behind the washer? I thought I read it in a manual some where.

Thanks

So what did you use if you did not use a washer? I think it still needs a washer but must be a thin washer. Now you mentioned the rtv I did noticed some on the key way. I have some extra motorcraft RTV for that.
