Also I'm not sure if you can hear it, that's why I opened the hood, but it was loping, and then I think it was missing bc the truck started to shake viciously for about 3 seconds, so I got out and went around it. I can get a better quality video later tonight.

sounds like you got some sticky injector spool valves. How old are your injectors? What kind of oil do you run in it and do you run any rev-x? My 190's are 3 years old and i always run 5w-40 with rev-x in the summer and right now it has 5w-30 in it with some AR9100 oil additive. Started mine up this morning with it being 34* out and it idled awesome.

really? that's a pretty good start dude. i wish mine was that smooth!

mine does the same thing...only worse. it's just because it's cold and like chris said, you've got some stiction. no big deal.

Mine used to start like this, then I put on brand new batteries and a FICM I repaired myself, with older programming. I don't get any of that anymore. Check your FICM voltage for fun. How old are your batteries? Have they been load tested recently at all?

Mine would always turn over and start right up, but with new batteries it just idles so much smoother and quieter.

Oil is about 3000 miles old, batteries are 2 weeks old (just had them warrantied at ford), I will check ficm voltage. I put rev x in 800 miles ago before the trans chit itself again. I am running 15w-40 motor craft. Should I switch oil? I'm not real good with oils and weights etc.

i would run a 5w-40 synthetic or even a little thinner oil when it gets cold out. I've got 5w-30 in mine and it starts great.

My 190s are 4000 miles old, casserly's. They did see 20seconds of 0 psi when my stock lift pump died in conjunction with my AD150, had it towed back and added the AD 2 165.

Not sure if it matters or not but a couple of weeks ago I changed over from a 15w-40 synthetic to a 5w-40 synthetic (same company) and notice a huge improvement on startup quality with my stock injectors. I have about 1000 miles on this oil change and even this morning with it only 28*F out it starts up great and is smooth. I added some rev-x last night to see if it does anything, so I will see about that but for me I did notice a difference in 5w-40 vice 15w-40.

Mine starts fine even with 15-40 in it, and we have quite a few days below 0 here too. Check that FICM out.

You will be surprised how big of a differance 5w40 makes. When I switched my truck ran smoother and got a little less noisy.

My brother is a diesel mechanic and he always tells me if a power stroke ever runs like chit change the oil if it is 3k or more. If it is less than 3k start looking.
