Alright guys, I have been tryign to chase down this problem for a long time. I have awful bounce in my truck on certain roads. The whole truck shakes and bounces. I can see it in all of my mirrors with my bed moving as well as wrapping side to side. But I don't feel it in my steering wheel at all, just the whole truck feels like it is going to bounce and shake itself apart. I have no idea what is causing it and I know that I am going to need to replace things just would like some input to try to narrow down what is causing this death shake and bounce or what ever you want to call it.

I am planning on pulling them and checking them but it doesn't look like they are flat spotted anywhere. I have rotated them religiously but it won't hurt to chack again.

check your shocks. fast and nasty way take the truck for a spin and bounce it around a bit the shocks should be a little bit warm. if they are cold or one is noticeably cooler than the other you have a turd in the punch bowl.

It could be spring sag, (D-50 fronts are known to sag), worn spring rubbers or eyes front or rear, bad cab mounts, bad shocks or tires as mentioned, bent rim, worn ball joints, worn tie rods, worn steering box or in need of wheel alignment, bad engine or transmission mounts.

Below is a photo of an uncommon cause of vibration after it failed-- a D-50 axle bracket. :priest:
It would only cause vibration on certain roads. This one wasn't torqued to spec on the assembly line. The washer style bolt heads and nuts hid any visible signs of it being loose until the broken bracket was removed. Note the oblong holes and the wide pattern left by the washer style fasteners that hid them.

I think it's a good idea to check the torque on the axle brackets on the Dana 50 regularly. LOL :D :)
