Water leak problem

My 7.3 powerstroke seems to be leaking water all the way around the water pump. Could this mean that it is a little loose or is the gasket shot and letting water leak by

If its leaking around the pump and not from the pump, then yes, the gasket it shot. But, if you're going that far, you might as well replace the water pump unless you know for sure its newer.
