Water Meth vs. Hotter Tune

My 05 F-350 just ate it's head gaskets and I'm getting it studded. In the process I'm going to add gauges too and that is where my dilema comes in. Currently I'm running a SCT tuner with out of the box SCT tunes in an effort to prolong the life of my head gaskets. Now that is over so it's time to step it up and hopefully gain some mileage. I'm having trouble deciding between getting the Snow Performance Mileage MAX water/meth kit which includes a EGT gauge and keep running the hot SCT tune or go with a Insight CS and buy a hotter tune from someone. I like that I won't have to change tunes with the water/meth when I'm towing but it will be a little more money and the install will be more involved. The gauge install will be quicker and easier but I'm not sure how much mileage I'll gain with a custom tune and I still have to change back and forth from a tow tune to a performance tune.

Any advice will be appreciated

you can run water meth with a race tune....i do it everyday. but i wouldn't tow like that. honestly you should get the gauges before you do the water injection. I'd get custom tunes for the SCT and the edge insight, then do the water injection. Or you can do all three at once.

Thanks for the help, I ordered the CTS yesterday and emailed Eric about some tunes. I just don't have the time right now to install the water meth. Plus I pulled my camper with a 6.7 this weekend and I want a backup camera now. That and the realtime mileage calculator were a couple options I can get with the CTS that I enjoyed in the 6.7

Once I get it, I'll let you know. If I don't put a turbo on my Mustang this winter, I'll be doing water/meth in the spring.
