Weird cruise control problem

For about the last 2 months I've been having issues with my cruise staying on, it started out if I hit a bigger pot hole it would kick off, then just crossing over a slight bump like on a highway bridge it would kick off, then for a week it was perfect and then out of the blue started doing it again. Then last weekend it started not working at all... Unless I pull over and shut the truck off and then restart it, then it starts working again. Any ideas?

I put the new sensor in and now my cruise doesn't work at all? I need to test the sensors and see if maybe the new one is bad, but I figured I'd put a $20 sensor on before buying a $20 meter
