weird no start then start

Very strange, glow plug light will not turn off, truck will not start, cycle the key and glow plug will cycle, light turns off, truck starts fine.
Any thoughts why GP light stays on and truck won't start ?
Seems worse after driving and everything f is hot.

Nope.

Just GP light stays on when truck doesn't start.
Cycle the key once, twice three times and its normal, GP
light will cycle off and truck starts fine.
And I cant find a relay that controls the GP cycle.

Glow plug light is controlled by the CPS. It is not connected to the GPR at all. In fact the GPR may stay energized after the light goes out.

Do you have a chip. If so, pull it out and see if that cures the issue. If not it is sounding like you have a PCM isssue

Might try pulling out the PCM and cleaning the main plug, might have gotten some crud in there, clean the harness also. Might try taking the GPR out of the circuit, (disconnect all the wires), it might be somehting wierd in there.

Did this all of a sudden just start happenning, or did it start happenning after you made a change with something?

Shortly after new chip installed, as the old chip (sniper) quit working.
I'm pulling pcm and cps in the AM.
I pulled the pcm twice recently so that may be something goofy there.
