so tonight i took off from the gas station truck was still a little cold. ran it through first gear went to shift to second and it dies fires right back up took off down the road. run through the gears get to 4th and hit the skinny pedal and the truck goes quiet like its in a drive through tune still running very low power. i tapped the gas and it went back to normal until the next stop sign did it again in 4th gear. i've never had it do this before truck is bone stock with no tunes what would cause this.

Sounds to me like oil level might be low and your running too many rpm's on the cold oil, which causes the injectors to go quiet because they physically cannot fire fast enough with the truck being so cold.

When this did it to me, I'd let off and keep it around 1600rpms and it was fine. I added oil to bring up the oil level, and it does that silent+dead pedal thing a whole LOT less now.

So in short, its a combination of possibly low oil and oil thats too darn cold to fire off the injectors at high rpm's. Let the truck warm up a few more mins to bring the oil temp up.
