Driving down the road the steering wheel will be normal for a while then pull to one side for a bit, then the other. Going around a corner it will turn in fine then stick a bit straightening out, but only sometimes. Hubs are unlocked and not hot. Can't get the truck of the ground as of right now but the track bar seems tight on the ground. Anyone else have any thoughts

sooner you do it the happier you are and less riskier it is

I'd also check the steering stabilizer if you have one. I've seen them bent or damaged and seize up.

It could affect your return to center. You said it was pulling both ways. If it is working properly it won't cause a pull, but if it is all caved in with rock damage, it could affect return to center. Just something to check.

Alright, it's not the ball joints or the u joints. Definitely not the stabilizer either as it is no longer there. I get a feeling I may be losing my steering pump. This is only happening when the truck isn't warmed up. Not sure if it's getting a fluctuation from the pump going out cause cold fluid or what. It isn't making any noise but the wheel feels heavier than I think what normal is especially when it's cold. Any input?
