Just picked up an Edge Insight CTS for my stock 2011 6.7.

I will be deleting my truck after the first of the year but want to get a better understanding of some of the gauges first and the appropriate levels.

For the Coolant Temp, what is an appropriate temp?

What PID do yall use for the EGT temp?
EGT 1 Pre DOC
EGT 2 Pst DOC
EGT 3 Pre DPF
EGT 4 Post DPF

I am current set on the EGT 1 Pre DOC. I will get the Edge probe when I do an EGR delete, but want to monitor until then.

What EGR Temp should I be seeing at whatever location yall say?

Thanks for any and all help!

On a quick run last night (truck was already warmed up) I got a coolant temp of around 180*. I couldn't get the EGT to go above 600* either.

Today on my short drive to work, but had time to warm it up, the coolant stayed around 180* but I was able to peak the EGT temp around 695*. This is unloaded and 3/4 throttle for a good stretch.

Maybe a morning bump will help?

Using stock locations of EGT probes until I get a chance to install your EGR delete. I either need to pull a probe out of the DPF or order the Edge probe from you.

Yeah you won't get a reading that is correct right now. You need the edge probe and a location to install it. The stock probe will not work.

Well, guess Ill be calling you for another order before too long.

Can you give any type of estimate/guess/pick a number that the EGT should be post turbo with the stock probe? Its completely stock so I am not overly concerned with it being too high, just want something to play with until I get deleted.

Getting a reading from one of the following:
EGT 1 Pre DOC
EGT 2 Pst DOC
EGT 3 Pre DPF
EGT 4 Post DPF

Currently using EGT 1 Pre DOC

However, like Morgan and you have said, its pretty useless.

Ill have to get the Edge probe for the NL EGR plate.
