What is too hot while towing

Good morning, been doing a little more towing with the f250 the past couple weeks. I monitor alot of parameters since i got my livewire ts in addition to my standard isspro gauges (boost, egt, trans). My 6.0 has a barder stage 2, stock injectors, 58v ficm with innovative ficm tune. I always tow with tow or aggressive tow tune from quick tricks. My question is, and ive searched all over but what is too hot of egts for a sustained amount of time? Ive been seeing 1000-1200 towing at 65mph. Which from what ive been reading isnt too bad but my deltas have been around 225/218 while towing. After getting the livewire and monitoring more, ive become more paranoid because i see so much more. My question is, what is too hot before i need to start worrying? Im just trying to prolong the life of my truck and not melt pistons. Also with the stage 2 (64.7) billet wheel. Is their such thing as running too lean? Truck screams with no load and my race tunes but theoretically would it run cooler with bigger injectors?

No such thing as running too lean, you just wouldn't make optimal power if you weren't tuned properly for the turbo. Bigger injectors wouldn't necessarily make it run cooler, but tuned properly they could help spool the turbo up quicker which could help. Assuming they're properly sized, quality built injectors and you have an hpop that can hold adequate ICP.

Same deal with me. Stock fuel and a Barder stage 2, runs quite hot egt wise with 12k behind it. Have seen up to 1400 kicking it down on a big hill. Normally on rather flat ground it's a good 1050, but I often see 1150-1200.

I'd go through and check everything for exhaust or boost leaks. That is way hot IMO. I've got 175/stock injectors running with a KC Turbos 1.5 and on a tow tune with 12k behind me I have to really push it hard to get to 1300°. Usually stays under 1150° unless really pushed hard.

I have checked and can not seem to find any boost leaks. I do think that it has started to run hotter egt wise than it did last year though.

Seems pretty high EGT's for stock injectors. Have tow'd a truck a couple of times with my excursion with stock turbo and injectors with IDP tow tune and was pretty hard to reach 1200. Ive always been told to keep it below 1250 towing. The tune may have too much fuel added to spool up the turbo quicker, but more fuel = higher EGT's.

My stock turbo ran cooler towing with street tunes than my powermax does with a tow tune. But i cant crack 1350 wot where i could hit 1600 with stock turbo. I think its the nature of the 10 blade exhaust wheel
