What do you mean "not as good"? I dont think there's much difference between the 250 and 350 srw besides rear suspension.

350's are on straight axle's and 250's are on I beams up front,

obs 250s use a dana 50 ttb front axle where as the obs 350s use a dana 60.

With how many parts are on there and how much weight is right above that axle.... In my eyes they are.

Id keep looking but unless you know someone that has the right dana 60 and parts for sale.

Looks like you already own a powerstroke... they are basically the same truck so look for the same things. Theres nothing special that goes bad on them.

i have a superduty 6.0 not an obs 7.3, i was just wondering if there were any signs i should look out for, certain places to check etc. its also a 300k mile motor.

Oh sorry.

There is nothing special to pay attention to on a 7.3 than you would any other diesel. Check turbo, check oil, check coolant, check fuel filter, see how the gp's function, see how quick it starts, see how it idles (an OBS will chop more at idle due to the mechanical fuel pump), see how tranny functions, see how t-case engages. Ensure 4bi kicks in.

Basic stuff.

Green filter? Not sure of any green filter. But ANY turbo can dust using a k&n... thats not 7.3 specific.
