Looking to switch to non vgt but not looking to make a race truck out of it. It has innovative tunes and supporting mods, but want to know the best spooling, non smokey turbo to run with stock injectors?

I would guess a 62fmw. Talk to Matt at cutting edge diesel he has a lot of experience with that turbo and non vgt's in general and he's a sponsor here

I've been having issues with the pigtail going to my turbo, and just wanna do away with the vgt in general since I hate the whistle lol. I don't expect a turbo that will spool like a vgt but I was talking more along the lines of one that isn't laggy, and isn't gonna smoke it's a$$ off everytime I pull away from a light

If you have no plans for bigger injectors, a 362 with a divided t3 housing would be your best bet. I'm saying t3 if you have no plans for bigger sticks. Divided t4 if you do. Everyone's opinion on spooling up a charger is different.

Oh, if you do go through with this, buy some purpose built up pipes, don't buy the adapter.

62/65/.70ar divided with divided up pipes. No t4 turbo will spool like this one with stock injectors. And it wont spool like stock but its a good upgrade

I'm just curious, what does a turbo and up pipes cost to switch to a non vgt with stock sticks? Any power loss from a stock turbo to non vgt?

Who sells a t3 setup? I was looking into the turbonetics mount, but a friend was gonna sell me his mpd t4 mount for $600, but again that's a t4 mount, where do I get a t3?

I ordered the 62FMW/68/.83 T4 with divided housing and divided up-pipes from Matt @ CED for my truck. Planning on running it with stock sticks for a while. I just wanted to try something different and it will make for a great high pressure turbo if I decide to go compounds later down the road. My truck right now is more of a play toy but it still sees some daily driving and will tow a smaller camper during the summer and possibly a pontoon boat. I think it will work well. I do plan on upgrading injectors later on, probably a 155 or 175 though. I will see how it goes.

That's what I was thinking, the 62FMW. But now I'm thinking about an S360 (60mm) with a .91 A/R.. Think that's to small of a turbo or just about perfect?
