I'm about to pull my lights apart to paint but I haven't seen what everybody is putting the lights on. Just how to do it and stuff

I used cardboard wrapped in foil just to have some kind of barrier between the lights and rack. I've yet to do my f250 lights yet as it was a pain with the other lights I've done. I may end up and just pay to have it done lol!

I've thought about paying somebody but trying to be cheap lol. I bought a set of lights for $50 so if I screw up I still have mine

I was going to try 200 for 10 min mainly because that's what I read in a write up. I just turned the oven on and is preheating.

usually when we do them, we soak a piece of card board, put it on a cookie sheet, then put the light lense down.....250 for 10 minutes or so at a time, slowly working the light apart. Ussually takes 2-3 times in the oven to get it completely apart.

also make sure any screws, or rubber seals are removed from the lights.

It didn't melt into the back plastic sitting on the rack?

No. And the easiest way I found to get them separated, if you haven't already done it, is to get the corner with the screw separated first and then work your way from there. There is a lot of manhandling involved.

Got them apart pretty easily. Hardest part was getting all that damn glue out of the valley. Heat gun and a screw driver helped a lot. Bout to head to store and pick up the paint supplies
