If you subscribe to a thread, by clicking on thread tools, it will not show up under the "my threads/ replies" link. You have to click on the "user cp" link to check the threads that you subscribe to. Then the threads will only show up if there has been new posts in it since the last time you visited. You can click on the "view all subscribed threads" on the "user cp" page to see all of your subscriptions. It is a very useful tool for someone who doesn't like to be a post whore, but likes to keep track of threads.
