What's a good shop lift to work on Super Dutys?

I installed a used mid 90's 9000 lb 2 post in my shop. It is overbuilt compared to the new 9000lb off shore crap that is being offered today. It lifts both my 97 & 10 ok, but I wouldn't want to lift any thing heavier than that.
If I was doing it again with a newer hoist I would definetly go 12000 lb.

On a related Question; what do most of you use for lift point positioning on the newer superduty's with the radius arm front suspension. Most of what I've seen & read calls for lifting under the factory radius arms up front.

That's where I do mine, if you look on the arm there is a flat area where the seam is missing. That's what it's for

My truck has Rancho tubular radius arms, & I'm a little reluctant to lift on them. I have been lifting on the gusseted area shown in the attached picture. Works ok, might be a little too far back but the balance on the lift is good, Or at least as good as it can be when lifting a truck of this size on a two post hoist and its arse end is hanging in mid air.

we looked at the atlas 12K lifts, liked them a lot, but then sorta fell into a 12K rotary 2 post. In love with it, does everything I need

My guess is that's what that area is ment for

Another vote for the atlas 12k. We have a 12k in our shop at our place of business and a 10k atlas at my house. Both have been flawless and are very well built. The main difference in the 12k from the 10k is the arms are much more stout. Looks to be the same cylinders and pump.
