Wheel Spacers?

I've decided I'm gonna go with some 37" tires on the ZMBYKLR truck now. LOL

To keep my current wheels (i.e. save a bunch of $$$) I'll have to stick with some 37x13.5's but I'm gonna wnat them to stick out a little further than they normally would.

I'll be going with an Icon 4.5" Stage 3 lift (says 37's will fit with minor trimming) from Performance Truck Products.

So what are the cons (if any) of using wheel spacers? I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of 1" to 1.5" will give me what I'm looking for. The most I tow with this truck would be another truck or something comparable.

Any particular brands are configurations I should look for? Anything or brands to avoid?

Your going to need a higher lift with that much offset added. I ran 1.5" spacers on my 08 for a fair amount of time, never had an issue with them but I did check them regularly - you WILL have to cut back your factory studs to run any spacer under 2" wide. Mine were bolt on "adapter" style that I bought off Ebay. Most I ever towed was a cc/sb dmax on a 24ft bumper pull - towed it often and like I said, never an issue.

Here is some pics to show you width - tires were 36x13 mounted on a 22x10 with 1.5" spacers

Tiniest pics EVA!!! LOL That actually looks really wide. I'm thinking I may be ok with a 1" looking at those. I'm gonna see how it looks to me without spacers first, but I'm pretty sure I'll want 'em out a little more. I liked the way they looked without spacers on the Pumpkin though so we'll see.
