Have a wierd issue going on.
Started truck up this morning and battery light came on, charging at 14.6. So drove it to work, battery light and instrument cluster were going on and off for the 20 min. drive. Pulled codes.

P008C Fuel Cooler Pump Control Circuit/Open
P0563 System Voltage High
P0620 Generator Control Circuit
P0625 Generator Field Terminal Circuit Low
P132C Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control A Voltage
U0155 Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IC) Control Module

Where would I start looking for a problem? It is overcharging at the moment with all the same codes, also it's been raining here in jersey so wondering if it's moisture.

need to check connections first and foremost, check the alternator cable and the plug on the alternator, then start moving to the fender plugs, i dont know if your cab has ever been off but check the two big plugs under the master cylinder. after that check the left side battery cable and make sure its tight where the cable from the underhood fuse block bolts to the cable.

Then move to grounds, cab grounds, engine grounds and frame grounds

Thanks, coming from a 7.3 to a 6.4 is a whole new world.
Turned out to be a wire in the plug on the Alternator. Wire loom chaffed the wire right at the plug. I also took your advice about those two big plugs. Looks like the cab was off at some point and they never secured those harnesses, they were rubbing on things they shouldn't have been.

I recently started seeing the battery light and was getting the p0624 code. Replaced the alternator and checked the batteries and i'm still only seeing 11.5v while running. I'll check the connections you mentioned when I get home today. Hopefully I can find one loose. This battery light is driving me nuts!
Edit. This weekend It would fluctuate from 11.5-12v to 13.5v and two weeks ago when I replaced the alternator it would stay right at 14v.

Where are these located?

cab ground is under the passenger front floor, little cable between the cab and frame
pcm ground are on the fire wall near the pcm, right below it i think there are 2 or 3 make sure they are good and clean
there is another ground from the right side battery to the body, i think its part of the main battery cable on that side
there is also a big ground to the engine from the battery cable on the same side, it bolts to the frame and too the front of the engine below the a/c compressor

there is also supposed to be another ground from the cab to the engine on top i think its on the intake or glow plug controller, not sure i dont have one

Thanks for the info but I feel like a dumb azz. Got home and started checking everything again and the nut on the alternator wire had backed off. Looked like someone was under there trying to weld with it. I recall getting it pretty tight when I put it on. Now I have to try to clean up the threads or put some washers on it to get it back tight.
