I'm about to buy shocks for my 2008 F250 4x4, and i've decided on the Bilstein 5100s. I am under the impression one of those would NOT work on the steering stabilizer, so what is the best setup for the stabilizer?

thanks! :ford:

I dont plan on lifting or offroading, is the upgrade worth it?

Mainly just a daily driver truck. Might hit the drag strip or work-stock truck pull a time or two.

Figured it out. I didnt realize that Bilstein made a 5100 in both damper and shock configuration. Kept seeing guys running 5100's all the way around.

I'll just pick up 4 5100 shocks and 1 5100 damper and call it good, most likely...

If you do the single just be sure that you get the one that's specific for your truck. The one like what comes in the stabilizer kits that's eye to eye won't work in the stock location I don't think. But I think Bilstein has the correct one somewhere.

Also, it may not be necessary for you to have the dual setup, but overkill isn't really a bad thing for this.

Yes, Bilstein does have an OEM upgraded replacement for your truck. For stock tire setup, I dont see duals as being needed for most guys.

Definitely. A stabilizer kit dampens/absorbs shock loads from being transferred to your steering system. Larger tires/wheels etc call for a more powerful dampener/system. Castor helps the truck track straight and prevents wandering.

I have the Top Gun Custom set up with the dual Bilstein set up and love them!
