:jammin:cant decide what tc to go with having the tranny rebuilt as we speak and lookin for a tc to go in it. Dont really pull or drag might do it a few times mostly just street driving but im not easy on it  possibly have it narrowed down to a DCP or Precision industries any input would be appreciated

Im a fan of precision industries, cant go wrong with DPC either, or RCD (pretty sure theirs are made by PI)

Connect I Cut
We have been installing PI converters in just about all of our performance transmission builds across all the makes and models with great success.
I personally have a PI converter in my own modded 6.0 and in my 600RWHP Ford Lightning.

So we know what brand or where to buy one. What really matters is the real world difference and stall speed chosen for our units. If anyone can give a good educational lesson please post up. I realize stall speed selection will vary along the intended use of the truck. So how about some general stall speed recommendations for street trucks, pulling trucks, and race trucks??

I've seen an improvement with a lower than stock stall speed on stock turbo trucks and anything that is using a vgt (powermax, II hybrids), these are typically 1600 stall units. I would recommend nothing lower stall than a 2200 rpm converter for non vgt trucks. Im running a stock stall (1800rpm) converter right now and its great, but 2200 rpm converters are a world of a difference in spool up and maintaining it. An 1800 rpm stall converter acts like a 1600 stall with a non vgt charger...

Nice. So a mild modded truck should stay with 1800 or drop to 1600 in order to maintain the drive-ability and towing ability?? I use "mild" in relation to drag or pull truck setups.
