so i think this is about the 3rd thread i have started regarding what turbo set up to do on my truck...this time

here is what im between.

gt 4094

or 366- 66/73/91 t4 divided billet

both set ups will end up with a set of divided t4 up pipes, and steed manifolds

truck goal is 600 at the tire (38s) have no more lag than what i have with my current 66/71

sorry to be repatative on threads....im just having a hard time making the choice...i do not think i want ot have to go through another turbo setup again.

thoughts>? and lets keep this to some good information

I think the 366 will probably end up giving you more air up top than the 4094r will but I think the 4094r might start flowing air sooner. I think I would say that since you already have a 366, why not just change out the turbine end and see how it goes?? Seems the easiest to me unless I'm missing something.

Brake stall launch my 72 4094R (Not the 68) at 15-20 psi no problem in 4wd today. Drivability is much better. More expensive turbo by 400 bucks but id say go for it, I love my 4094r thus far.

You had a open 88 housing of course any divided turbo would spool so stop using that line in every thread
Try a divided t4 borgwarner than post how its better

Have fun with the lag of the Garrett. Who's word are you going to take. The people with the slowest trucks or the people with the fastest trucks lol

More like who has tried a 4094R on a 6.0?

And who hasn't?
I'd like to note that Nate (windrunner) made 605whp 1110+ torque with the identical 4094R turbine/compressor setup, except in VGT Journal Bearing (mtw stage 3) with 190cc injectors

I say put a .91 T4 divided with up-pipes on your current turbo. That would be by far the cheapest route so if you don't like it you aren't out $2k

Well as I was told by several people today the 66 is plenty big enough... But there's a restriction somewhere... So it's time for something new

it is big enough. save yourself some dough and rework what you have. unless you're just dying to spend 2k on another turbo that may give just a few more hp nomsayin?

Drop the Borg and try a real ball bearing turbo, you might like 15% faster spool time

Its not a question of dying to spend another 2k, i have a current customer who wants to run my turbo set up, so i have my unit sold. Its a question of what will get me where i want to be.

I am looking to get away from the batmowheel because i have read and seen some things that show it actually hurts performance. I never mind trying something new, so i have considered the big VGT turbos, but i am pretty confident that im not looking to jump back to a VGT just yet. I have also ruled out compounds because at this point, i do not feel the power gain for my truck is worth the time for compounds. I like the idea of the new 66 more geared towards my set up, but i like the idea of the double ball bearing turbo.

It seems that who ever your talk to, the opinion is different, and this is why i started this thread becuase im between trying something new that could be perfect, or bust , or go with a set up that is a little more rock solid.

I know JJ is working on getting his truck on the dyno, and some track times so i think this will give some good data to look at, and most of us know the power behind the s300 turbos with plenty of air up top.

We have a ccsb with a 366 with 225s 150. 12.5 on fuel 11.57@117 on spray. Tows his camper every weekend with no issues. Spools quick the highest he's seen up a mtn was 13-1400 deg

It's hard to say what a turbo will do on a truck until you try it. As far as I know I am the only one To try a 72 4094R on a 6.0, and it works, pretty well at that. Fwiw the turbo is freaking awesome. Took David N for a boosted 4wd launch last night leaving at 20 psi and it left us pretty giddy, she's all there to say the least...look for track times Saturday, this thing builds boost way easier than the s366 .91 divided I ran and the s366 double batmo.

And when did you run a .91 ? Now that everyone is questioning you ? Just last week you said the only turbo you ran had a .88 open

Not possible and could never happen maybe we should switch to garret? Oh wait we did it was a piece of **** and spooled slower and didn't make as much power...
