Got a e99 with stg 1 single shots and tyrant tunes. When you start it in the mornings it white smokes alot and smells like oil. Once its at operating temp it stops and won't smoke again unless it sits for 5-6hrs. I popped the hood and at start up there's smoke coming from turbo area. Any ideas? No codes, nothing, and runs fine even when cold. Just white smoke.

The truck fires right off. No hesitation, no long crank, no miss, runs fine. It was doing this when it was 80 degrees out and still is. Temperature doesn't affect it.

Here's what it looks like at a cold start. This was taken when it was 60 degrees one morning.

Our CIH 9350 4wd looks like that when we start it and its cold too. Not sure what the problem is. Runs like normal just a lot of white on start up. Coolant and oil both fine

I'd be willing to bet your o rings are shot. Fathers 96 did this. Fuel was leaking into.cylinders when it sat for a few hours.

Injectors don't have but 2k miles on them with brand new o rings. Also replaced injector harness and all the glow plugs while I was in there. It did this before I did the work too.

Same here, coolant is fine. Oil seams to be fine, not real sure cuz it does have a small leak.

I'm thinking its turbo related. O rings on the feed or return side letting oil by. The same white smoke is around the turbo at start up. And come to think of it, it doesn't really clear up at operating temp but more so as the turbo starts spooling. By 4th gear its cleared up.

By turbo area, do you mean by your up-pipes? You said you see white smoke by turbo area..

I dont think its turbo related.. take off the intake spyder and start it up, see what it does...

this seems like a injector issue.... I understand they are new...

basically the intake... has boost tube going to it. right in front of turbo. goes to two orange boots that are connected to the heads...

who installed the injectors?
