Driver side manifold. Think it's cylinder #8

No oil loss, coolant doesn't fluctuate.

Is it oil for sure, or maybe some nasty cocktail of coolant/soot? I know when my EGR pipe was cracked it looked similar to that. The condensation/water inside that pipe would leak out and run down onto the up pipe/manifold and made me think I had a problem at the manifold flange area at first.

I was thinking bellow, but I don't see any soot on fire wall.

Look higher for the source
I checked on top of motor and as far down as I could see. Seems to be coming from top of uppipe flange.

Maybe I didn't tighten down top nut good enough.

you would have a nasty exhaust leak to have that. looks like oil to me, could be valve guide seals

When mine went the bellow was fine, the pipe itself cracked where the mounting tab was below the bellow and that's where it was comming from. I didn't have any soot on the firewall either.

Could a cracked head do that?

I'll monitor it. Cleaned it up to see how much and frequent it does it.

Hmm. Could possibly be cracked then.

no its just from the seal riding up on the valve, if indeed that is the case. Generally you get a puff of grey smoke on start up but other than that its not really noticable

I did notice a puff of grey/whitish smoke the other day after letting of the pedal. Couldn't get it to do it again though.

could the glow plug harness be popped out? also check the rubber grommet on the top side of the rocker box that seals off where the high pressure fuel line passes thru it.

Glow plugs in place. I forgot about the fuel line though

best way to check that is to have someone else start the truck after sitting for 12 hours and watch it, if it puffs gray that smells like burned oil then you know thats your issue. If it smells like fuel you could have a leaking nozzle but not common. if it smells like fuel it could just be the tune as well.

Think I figured out where it's coming from. Turbo.

Boot blew off and hot side had oil in the bottom of the piping. Guessing it's going threw intake? Haven't notched any smoke on start up though.
