will 79 rear dana 60 work in an obs?

I'm wondering will a 79 dana 60 rear end work in my 97 f350?:shrug: My 10.25 is very shot, And i have a couple of buddys that will pretty much give me a 79 rear dana 60. Just wieghing my options, ideally I'd like to find an 4.10 10.25 to replace mine. But locally people think they are worth as much as a cummins engine, thanks for any help

Any junk yard should have a couple hundred 10.25 rear ends in it. All you really need to do is to find one that has the gear ratio that you need.
