WTB: 02 Excusion Turbo!!

Hey yall I have a buddy with an 02 excursion that needs a stock replacement turbo. He said it has an external wastegate, and Im not a 7.3 guy so Im not sure if he needs a wastegated turbo to replace it with or not.

Anyone got anything for me?

If he has a stock turbo, any late 99-03 superduty or excursion 7.3 stock turbo will work (is the same thing). They all come wastegated from the factory, the actuator is external, the gate doesnt dump to atmosphere though. And don't get a Van turbo off those years unless you want a non-wastegated turbo, along with replacing the exhaust adapter to the down pipe.

Thanks man I was just offered a van turbo, haha. he mentioned the adapter tho...

About the wastegate, so they all have an internal wastegate,but it looks external because of the actuator??

My buddy found a replacement for the truck, he is getting a brand new stock replacement w/ 2yr warranty for 450...thanks for all the help and offers boys!
