Hey y'all. Gotta set of 315's on my truck now and they are way too small. Looking to buy some bigger tires. I would like some 40" tires but smallest I'd put on her are 38's. If you also have a set of decent rims id be interested in them too. Hit me up on here and lemme know whatcha got. I'm in the Carroll county Maryland area but for the right price can meet you.

I have 17's and 18's but will probably be getting new rims so whatever tire rim size I get doesn't really matter as long as there bigger than 15"

Reason I ask is because my buddy is about to have some 40/15.50/22s for sale soon. Easily over 80% tread left on them.

good luck fitting 40's on an 8" lift...just don't turn...ever...LOL

....and you'll have to regear...

Here's what a 2005 F250, 6 speed manual, with 4.5" lift, Bushwacker cut-outs and 41's looks like.

I plan on re gearing. You don't think 40's will fit with the right rim offset?

Thanks...and those are 41"s on a 4.5" lift...with cut-out fender flares

I don't think any offset will get 40's under your 8" lift....it's gonna hit the bumper, and the backside of the front fender

"rule of thumb"...for fitting larger tires

38" tire needs 8-10" lift
40" tire needs 10-12" lift
42" tire needs 12-14" lift
44" tire needs 14-18" lift
46" tire needs 16-20" lift

....and even then it depends on the quality of the lift(more wheel travel), and your style of driving(street queen or off-roader)

.

Yes..cut -out fender flares..means you cut..a lot..

Then I coated the cut edge with roofing tar...to prevent rust in the future.

When I was on 36's and no lift....You Also have to trim the bumper...I sealed it, then I put door trim on the cut edge.
