Anybody have one to sell or know where I can get one. Don't want one that's been hammered but rather it was deleted and tuned than run stock for 50k miles.

Yeah I'm tryin for that one. Seems weird to have pulled the engine in favor of a "built" one for no more mods than he has though. Makes me question the condition of the one he's sellin.

Good point. My diesel mechanic has built a number of diesels maybe I should jus go that route. What would b a ball park figure for that?

I think Craig@MPD said once he would install cut pistons while doing a customers build for an extra 4k. So I would guess in that range. Maybe more, maybe less.

I would do a rebuild and get some HD coated pistons or you may need to do this again down the road with whatever you build. Seems like the pistions just don't hold up and lots of people having issues with them. Some go forever while others crap out with very few miles.

I agree and there is no need to find a whole engine when the bottom end is probably in perfect shape.

But the machining to get it bored .20 over is a pretty significant cost. And then I couldn't use IH pistons right? So then I'm stuck machining pistons yet.

Machining the block isn't too bad yes you have more cost for machining the factory pistons but still under what you can get a used motor for

Have to figure its not a 7.3 or 6.0 where you can get them used for 1k-2500. Seems they go for big $. We are going to start stocking used 6.4 in the next few months but finding good ones and selling them affordably is the problem.

Im rebuilding my 6.4 put it that way
