Saying hello from Ft. Saskatchwan, Alberta.
Been here visiting a few times before; joined another forum also and just getting the lay of the land and educating myself.
I'm new to the diesel world. I just recently bought my first diesel: a new F350 Platinum CC 4x4, SRW, FX4, Tri-coat white.
I really like the truck so far. It is a lot of truck, but I didn't want to outgrow yet another vehicle so I bought this to replace my Toyota Sequoia, so that I can pull RV trailer, my cargo trailer (and any future trailers) with ease. I love the F350's tow friendly features, brawny look, and its interior comforts.
So far, not much done to the truck, but the mod bug is starting to infest already.
To date, pretty much limited to functional things: weathertech floor liners, Undercover Flex tonneau, some mudflaps and 3M protection, paint matched rub strips, and some iPike winter tires for the factory 20" wheels.
Near future mods will probably include a 2-3" or 4" lift kit, some paint matched flares, as well as a set of summer wheels and tires. I am shopping all the possibilities right now. I also plan a set of custom HID light housings, using a spare set of headlight housings that I picked up for a song. Other than putting in a bit of a custom grille (billet inserts or full replacment?), I think that will pretty much be it.
I don't plan any other big changes for the truck unless I run into some drivability or try to chase better fuel mileage / reliability. Maybe when its off warranty a DPF / EGR delete and / or a better turbo. I am pretty happy with the truck's power but would like more engine monitoring / fuel economy if possible.
Sorry I haven't got any pictures yet, the weather's been crap lately or the truck hasn't been clean.
